Isaiah 42:5-16  Called Out to Follow  One of the strongest messages I heard repeatedly on sabbatical is God saying “I am the Lord.” When He speaks we must listen and obey.

Genesis 12  Abram is Called Out  God called Abram to leave everything and go to the place where God would direct him. We don’t always have an itinerary in our hands but God expects us to trust him wherever he leads.

Genesis 47  Jacob’s Family is Called Out  God used an abused brother and a 7-year-long famine to call his chosen people to Egypt, where they would become a great nation.

Exodus 2-3  Moses is Called Out  Moses was rescued from the Nile. He fled into the desert after a murder. God called to him from burning bush to go back to Egypt.

Exodus 15 The Israelites are Called Out  God sent ten plagues on Egypt before Pharaoh let the people of Israel go. God led them away from their oppressors, through the sea and into the wilderness.

Exodus 19 Called Out to be God’s Treasured Possession

On Mt Sinai God called out of the thunder and lightning reminding the Israelites to obey him and keep his covenant.
